Ten on Tuesday

Update: I haven’t had time to blog this week with only getting 1 day off.  On top of that, my Great Uncle died yesterday (he was more like a second Grandpa), so my week got sad and complicated.  Oh yeah, and the last book in the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning came out today, so I’ll be immersed in that for a few days at least.  I want to make Ten on Tuesday a priority, though, so I’m at least blogging semi-regularly.  Here goes.

 

1. What’s your favorite color to paint your nails?

Nothing.  If I do paint them, it’s usually just clear.  Once and a while I’ll get fancy, but I used to bite my nails and still fall back into that habit on occasion – if my polish chips, I am going to focus more on my nails, which would lead to me using my teeth to chip away at it further, which usually leads to biting.

2. Do you like to sneeze?

No.  I don’t think I sneeze properly, it comes out my mouth usually not my nose.  I sneeze a lot more often since I got my allergies over a year ago.

3. How often do you fill up your car with gas?

Whenever the tank is empty or before a trip.

4. Were you named after anyone?

That’s debatable.  My Mom had a university roomie named Erin, but Mom says I wasn’t named after her, she just liked the name.  My middle name, however, is named after my Great Grandmother’s first baby who was stillborn because Great Grandma was a nurse when people didn’t know that x-rays were harmful.

5. Have you made any good recipes lately?

Kyla Roma’s Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies were AMAZING.

6. What’s an easy money-saving tip that you use regularly?

I sign up for e-mails with stores that I shop at regularly, like The Gap, which is where I buy my jeans.  They e-mail me when they’re having sales, which are usually a good percentage off, and that’s when I buy jeans.

7. Would you rather have a sore throat or an ear ache?

Oh a sore throat.  Ear aches are one of the worst things ever.

8. Do you have any scars? What are they from?

I have a big old scar across my right side.  I had a kidney operation when I was 3 to fix a birth defect.

9. What are you “known for” in your circle of friends/family?

I think I’m known for my job, and for being the type of person who can work it.  Also my oddball sense of humour.

10. How do you like to eat your pancakes?

I like them with butter (margarine) and maple syrup. I prefer waffles though.
